The B. STUDIO showroom in Ixelles: tall windows, a marble fireplace and rails of ivory and grey knitwear
Brussels · Belgium Showroom by appointment

Great knitwear starts with the right yarn.

B. STUDIO develops knitwear for fashion brands, from the first idea to the last delivery, with direct access to the Italian factories that make it.

Why knitwear

A sweater is not cut from fabric. It is built from scratch, stitch by stitch.

Every detail matters.

Every stitch, gauge and yarn changes the shape, the weight, the price and the way a piece falls. Getting them right takes experience, a trained eye and time with the factory.

This know-how is disappearing, and it is expensive to learn on your own collection.
B. STUDIO brings it to your team, for a single piece or for a whole season.

The
Process

Three phases, and you can stop after any of them.

  1. 01 Offer 01
    Direction

Best-sellers and sell-through reviewed, trend and yarn research, range plan by yarn theme, sketches.

  2. 02 Offer 02
    Development

Technical packs, yarn and stitch selection with the mills, prototypes, fittings, sales samples approved.

  3. 03 Offer 03
    Production

Orders placed, colours approved, pre-production samples validated, deliveries followed to the end.

Brands come to us for a single opinion on a difficult piece, for a capsule, or for a whole season. We start from what your brand needs, answer your requests, and step in exactly where your collection is held back.

The archive

A wide selection of pieces you are allowed to touch.

The studio holds a working archive from Italian knitwear manufacturers: stitches, finishes and constructions developed over decades, with a selection always on display.

It is the fastest way to see what is possible before committing to a single sample. Most decisions about a collection are made by looking, getting inspired and handling the physical pieces.

The showroom

A nineteenth-century apartment in Ixelles, with high ceilings, mouldings and the light of tall windows. It was set up to look at knitwear properly: on the hanger, in the hand, by the window.

Each visit is arranged around your brand. The rails change for every appointment.

The work table

Where yarn cards, swatches and technical packs are laid out, and where a range plan becomes a list of pieces the factory can make.

Meetings can also take place at your office, with a selection of the archive brought to you.

The studio

Founded by Alessia Scholl.

Ten years developing collections, knitwear and woven, for international fashion houses. Most recently five years as head of knitwear collections and product manager at a Belgian couture house, where she ran two collections a year and a knitwear business of three to four million euros: around fifty styles in collection and thirty-five in production every season.

She speaks to Italian factories the way they speak to each other. That is usually the difference between a collection that arrives on time and one that does not.
